Honorable Minister for Large and Medium Scale Industries in the Government of Karnataka
Mr. Nirani was instrumental in bringing-in a New Industrial Policy for the State of Karnataka. He has taken several initiatives for development of industries in the State like creation of land bank, emphasis on infrastructure development, etc. He was the guiding force behind the success of the Global Investors Meet 2010 held at Bangalore which attracted investments to the tune of 87.5 billion USD into the State. He has visited several countries and led official delegations to China, USA, Germany, Japan, South Korea, etc.
Mr. Nirani is also an Industrialist. He has diverse interests and is Chairman of M/s Nirani Sugars and M/s Nirani Cements. M/s Nirani Sugars has the distinction of being a sugar plant with the highest crushing capacity at a single location in India.
He has keen interest in social service for which he has received several awards.
He holds a Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering and a Diploma in Business Management.
